Skip Garden,

King's Cross London

The Skip Garden located in London’s King’s Cross, is a huge success. Ever since 2004, it has comprised twenty-six commercial and community gardens. This is a container garden but with a difference. The garden features brilliantly painted recycled rubbish skips and scaffolding-board planters. The design of the garden is pleasant and practical and is even on its third manifestation. The Skip Garden kitchen uses produce that is grown in the urban garden. The astonishing look of herbs, vegetables and wildflowers bursting out of the skips is truly a sight to see for yourself. Nearby are also the Dan Pearson designed Handyside Garden and the wild Camley Street Natural Park
